Gem salt: pink salt comes from the Himalayan foothills of the Khewra mine in Pakistan. Discovered by Alexander the Great, it has been traded since the Mogul Indian Empire in the Middle Ages. This salt is pure, non-iodised and rich in iron. It is a salt very appreciated in cooking with a salty power equivalent to sea salt and containing more trace elements. This salt has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine.
